kobe malone.

it's christmas break and that means this:
pathetic, right?
wrong.
what could honestly be more fun than manipulating
the lives of simulated characters?
probably lots of things,
but that's not the point here.

the point is,
someone's got to play games like these,
or no one would make them to begin with.

are you still awake?

we're enjoying our christmas just about as much
as we thought we would --- a lot.
so far we've had some pretty fun experiences.
taylor o. has loved playing mary in the live nativity
at liberty park called, "echoes of christmas."
she's pretty famous now.
you might have seen this photo in the newspaper:

taylor b. got to spend some quality time
cross country skiing with shalaya kipp, and has acquired a nasty case
of tendinitis in her elbow because of it.
but it was still fun.

along with caroling, shopping, wrapping, eating,
running, reading, sleeping and laughing,
we've had some pretty fun moments so far.
we can't wait for more to come!

merry christmas, everyone!

here is a post that was supposed to be shared on
wednesday december 16, 2009,
but was neglected instead.

last night = out of control.
it started like any other normal study-party.

dishes? they can wait 'til after finals.
cleaning? that can wait 'til after finals.
studying? that can wait 'til after finals, too.

let's start with two words:
ben coburn.

and, we'll play around with a couple more:
leslie macfarlane.

hahahahaha, word games are fun.

ok, ok. here are some more:
mona vie.
christmas candy.
christmas cookies.
jefferson and liberty.
whipped cream.
cornbread powder.
balsamic vinegar.
facebook log-out.
computer date.
focus issues.

pretty neat, huh?

one more day of finals,
then we're going to high-tail it up to the big city
for our long-awaited CHRISTMAS VACATION!!
wish us luck,
because if you don't, we'll just wish ourselves luck.

i'd give it all for you.

"welcome to the dollhouse, my dear."

it's friday night,
and pictures speak at least a few sentences each.

thanks to these two {natalie allen & isaac hales} along with, ally morgan, hillary alleman, dearest bracelet, and of course us, {a.k.a taylor squared}, ben recieved several thousand notifications. yup. we're cool. and we like that.

isaac, natalie, leslie, ben, taylor b., hillary, jeff.

walgreens is open 24/7. and these tigers are for sale, 24/7.

sonic drive-in---clearly.

we ordered some french toast sticks to go,
and as we were handed our order,
we saw a sign that read, '.49 cent hot chocolate.'
so, naturally, we drove back through again.

"is it true you have .49 cent hot chocolate?" ---us.
"umm, [ten seconds later] yes." ---drive-thru attendee.
"we'll take three please." ---us.

"so, during happy hour, is hot chocolate 24 and 1/2 cents?" ---us.
"umm, i'm not sure. no one has ever ordered it then." ---drive-thru attendee.

you can back we'll be back to check it out.

in other news,
we LOVED the mormon tabernacle christmas concert.
what a way to bring more christmas spirit into our lives.
and, we have finals this week.
you can bet that we know all about finals.
wish us luck, and remember, let it schnow!

no. i do not want to chat with you.

"ah, but it's cold outside!"

today on our run, we had to run in the street,
because the sidewalks were buried.
we just loved getting sprayed with
the dirty, cold, icy slush as the cars zoomed by.

but really, we did.

we've been waiting for 9 months for snow-runs like these,
and we don't take this kind of weather lightly.

can you tell it in five sentences or less?

we promised an update,
so consider this us fulfilling that promise.

some highlights from the last week.

sunday (the 29th):
we went to holly brimhall's birthday
scone extravaganza!
some congratulations are in order:
happy 20th, girlfriend!
we met a girl named stacey-marie.

us: "what's your name?"
sm: "stacey-marie. one girl, two names."
us: "perfect. we're taylor. two girls, one name."

let's skip a few days.

thursday (the 3rd):
this night involved our two favorite places,
and our new favorite people.
1. deseret industries.

2. zupa's.
3. leslie (she isn't new, but she's our favorite. robl.)
4. ben, sean and philip.
(ben wanted a whole post dedicated to him,
but really ben? you've gotta work up to that.
for now, you get to share a number).

taylor b. picked up two new pieces of flannel. $3, & $4.
ben found a pretty rad xango shirt for a $1.
the funny thing is, earlier while walking around campus,
a dollar bill literally fell from the sky, and he caught it.
coincidence? most likely.

zupa's was just as INCREDIBLE as ever.
just like yoplait, it's so good.

friday (the 4th):
one word: logan.
taylor b. high-tailed it up north,
and man, she didn't regret it.
just some highlights:
- the living and learning center.
- the fine arts building.
- the bevwood quartet.
- natalie allen & hannah mcvea.
- crazy dancing.
- midnight swimming.
- angie's diner.
- wintery morning drive, & mcdonald's sausage biscuits.
- and of COURSE, finally getting to meet hillary & nathan.

all in all, best friday night ever!

taylor o. wasn't able to make the journey to logan-town,
so she sat at home bored out of her mind
(you can only watch so many hours of glee),
until stewart came and saved her.
thank you!

saturday (the 5th):
taylor b.'s brother attended his first formal dance.
taylor o. had some great family bonding time and a useless rehearsal. yes!

that's all folks!

easy as breathing.

hey there.
we certainly have a lot to fill you in on.
but, now isn't the time for that type of behavior.
we'll do that in some other post.

you're probably wondering,
"why are they posting something if they have nothing to say?"
well, to those people we say this:

we never said we had nothing to say,
only that we weren't going to say it tonight.

plus, there IS reason for this post,
and this is it.

hahahahahahahahahaha.

perfection in a bite.

we have quite the story for you.

three nights ago, veronica lost her retainer.
she took it out, put it in the case, and then dropped the case on the ground by accident.
so, naturally she reached down to pick it up, but when she did, there was no retainer inside the case.

she looked high, and low.
she searched under her bed, dresser, desk, papers, and laundry,
but it was no where to be found.

two nights ago, taylor b. also lost her retainer.
she put it in her mouth just before she went to bed,
and when she woke up, it was gone.
she also searched under her bed, papers, dresser, bags---everything.

two retainers, gone. no trace. no signs. no clues.

last night taylor b. was reading (eclipse, of course),
and at about 11:30 pm there was a loud pounding on the wall.
she looked up, confused, and then went back to reading.
30 seconds later, the pounding returned.
it was clearly coming from the wall separating her room from veronica's room.
she then heard some rustling coming from the same location,
and almost got up to go search for the source of the rambunctious noise,
but naturally, she continued to read. duh.

as the hours ticked on, both taylor b. and veronica were retainer-less.
in a last crusade to maintain their straightened teeth,
apartment 301 conducted a final search. of ages.

luckily, taylor b. had a headlamp and shakeable flashlight.
so, taylor o. & veronica began the search in veronica's room,
while taylor b. searched in her own room.
just then, taylor b. spotted the little red plastic piece very
located centrally under her bed.
"i found mine!!" ---taylor b.
"you did?!" ---veronica.
"there it is!"---taylor o.

just as taylor b. pull hers from the dust,
taylor o. spotted veronica's, located near the very back wall, underneath her bed.
luckily, taylor b. has arms any monkey would be envious of,
and the recovery of the retainer from the dusty darkness was not an issue.
coincidence? obviously not.

what can you take from this story?
clearly, that retainer bandits need to be added to the list
of stereotypes associated with provo.
now if that doesn't give you nightmares,
we don't know what will.

on a lighter and brighter note,
veronica and taylor b. have retainers to wear
at night, so their teeth won't go crooked.
but you already knew that. rofc.

"that title is perfect. in more ways than one." ---taylor b.

aqua poppy.

well, if you haven't already guessed,
we're really excited for christmas.
thanksgiving break put us into
a full holiday swing.

speaking of thanksgiving,
join us for some highlights, won't you?

taylor o. hopped on a plane,
and flew right to new york city.
can you say jude law in hamlet?
yesss. we can, at least.
also, taylor o. almost didn't have a thanksgiving dinner.
but then she did. close call.

taylor b. enjoyed a relaxing
week in a different kind of city.
salt lake city, of course.
she caught up with some old pals,
reminisced with some fictional characters,
and filled out a police report for her car,
which was backed into
during thanksgiving dinner.

whoever said hit-and-runs
don't add excitement to your life,
was highly mistaken.
actually, we don't think
anyone has ever said that before.

anyway, back to our holiday swing.
this evening we started things off
with our favorite ladies:
mariah, whitney, and céline.

you can find these and
our other christmas favorites
on our new christmas mixed tape.
we come to our own blog to listen
to our own music now.
well, we always did that.

one last thing:
without planning it, we both dressed in our
"home for the holidays" ensemble today.
so, naturally we had veronica snap a photo.
luckily we had a freshly decorated
gingerbread man and a mug nearby.

'tis the season to be jolly,
it's the most wonderful time of the year!

just the best kissing stories.

have you seen new moon yet?
are you an edward fan or a jacob fan?
we used to be stalwart edward fans.
all we can say is that,
our loyalties were tested. seriously.

before the movie:
clear boundaries.

after the movie:
middle ground (except for shalaya, of course).

so, if you haven't seen it yet,
give us a call, won't you?
we'd love to see it again with you.
but seriously, we would.

thanks to shalaya, leslie and derek
for an awesome movie night.
oh, and robert and taylor.
also, we have the same name
as him. did you notice?

we basically share names
with everyone that we love.
and that's not a coincidence,
ask anyone.

"our loyalties were tested." ---us.
"mine were chested too." ---jenny's & avery's roommate.
"hahahahaha." ---everyone.
"yeah, who wasn't chested?" ---taylor b.

we love that---tayor & taylor.

p.s. we'd like to welcome
jenny mckay to the blogging world.

p.p.s. did you know that taylor lautner
and taylor swift are dating?
i mean, if we can't date him,
she is the next best thing.
golden star for t-swift, right there.

p.p.p.s. happy birthday christian!
hope you got our message (wink, wink).

dexter's gassy adventure.

some highlights from yesterday.
(no, not the skyline choir, silly).

as much as we have tried to avoid the
stereotypical freshman experience,
we now realize that there are some things we just can't avoid.

yesterday taylor b. came across "breakin' free"
from the world renown movie, high school musical.
obviously, after hearing that song,
the only course of action was to make an interpretive dance
and then film it using photo booth on taylor b.'s mac.

after several takes, we gave up.
but not really.
we just decided that high school musical was a bit too juvenile.
after all, it is a musical about high school.
so we just moved on to a more mature song choice.
it was our very own song.
really though. it was our song.

we have found that we have a deeper
connection with all of taylor's songs,
because, well, our names are taylor.
ha ha, get it?
we do. and it gets better every time.

"so," we said, "our song it is."
and it continued to be.
over and over and over again. about fifty times.
but not really. ha ha, gotcha.
this was pretty fun, for a couple hours,
until our fun was abruptly interrupted
by a knock on the door.

naturally, we thought it was brandon,
but to our surprise, it was our engaged
neighbor from the apartment below
whom we have never spoken with.
but we do know she is engaged.

she simply asked us to either turn the music down,
our at least change the song,
as she and her roommates were trying to study.
blah, blah, blah.
but seriously? she wanted us to
stop playing our song?
(ha ha ha, get it?)

so to make a pretty short story even shorter,
we turned it right off.
but not really, because that old familiar tune
is still playin' in our heads.

"he's got a one-hand feel
on the steering wheel,
the other on my heart."

we wish we could give you some
video evidence, but the thing is,
we never really got a good take.
but we did have a little photo booth fun.
just another one of those freshman thrills
that you can't avoid.

this was just as fun as it looks.
but probably not quite as fun.

blahh, taylor o. is getting blown awayyyyy.

in other news. we've got some pla-a-aanss tonight,
and only one day of class next week.
yee hah.

"i see you've branched away from the usual pants. i haven't." ---taylor o.

as usual, we love that---taylor & taylor.

post script: christian jacob frandsen
has given us some sound advice
over the past few days.
we can't wait to share another
cannon center adventure with him.

also, when we refer to the cannon center
as an "adventure," that's exactly what we mean.
why else would we call it that?

wednesday the 13th.

if you haven't already heard:
benjamin ross taylor has been called to serve as a missionary in the

TOKYO, JAPAN MISSION!!

we are so excited for him, and couldn't be more proud to call him our own.
(wink, wink).
we love you elder taylor!!

good thing we had our girl ally over last night for some moral support.
and of course ben was there too. just because he's at utah state, doesn't mean he can't be there for the most pivotal moments in our lives.

speaking of pivotal moments,
tonight ben will open his mission call.
we are so nervous. but can't wait.
we'll let you know what happens.

synonyms to friend.

we're real sorry,
we know we've already blogged once today,
but something happened after our last blog post.
something we can't wait to share with you.

it's called omelette night.
it is most definitely the best thing about provo.
quite possibly the best thing that has ever happened to us.
(we realize we probably say this a lot, but we're serious this time).

once a month, the café at utah valley hospital offers incredible, HUGE, omelettes for $3.
they have chefs making them for you, and you can put whatever you want inside.
not just cheese or ham, but everything:
hash browns
bacon
sausage
chicken
ham
tomatoes
olives
mushrooms
cheese
peppers (green & red)
cashews
onions
guacamole

the chefs were pretty hospitable too.
when taylor b. tried to snap a picture, he chased her down with some pam.
but that didn't matter at all.

you can bet we're on their mailing list now.
we're not ever missing omelette night again. ever.

also, a shout out to sharon sheffield, taylor b.'s aunt.
she shared the secret of omelette night with us before any one else, months ago.
now we know why.

"do you like my coat? it has a built-in thermostat. and a phone charger. i would show you right now but i don't have the batteries for it yet." ---tyler young.

we love that---taylor & taylor.

small neutral one.

we both have class at 9:00 am.
taylor b. has a break from 9:50 am to 10:50 am.
taylor o. has french at 10:00-10:50 am.
so taylor b. studies and waits for taylor o. to be done with class.
then, when the class hour ends, we both walk to environmental biology together.

today, as we were walking to enviro biro, we saw a boy jump on his bike and start peddling.
then we saw a man in a blue, police uniform dash after him and literally yank him off his bike.

"don't you ride away from me!!!"

it was the most shocking thing that has happened to us here in provo.
the look on the boy's face was so incredibly priceless.
the cop proceeded to walk him over to his own bike, pull out a note pad, and write him a ticket.

moral of the story?
don't let the bike police see you riding your bike on campus.

also, can we just say, best enviro biro review session EVER?!
yes, it's our blog. we can say whatever we want.

here is another funny thing: facebook stalking.
we've learned that it is an accquired skill.
we've also learned that we've accquired it.

and we're taking it to a whole new level.

the chase = awesome.

star academy.

good news:
taylor o. took first place at the french idol this evening.
was it worth it? $$$$$
you bet it was.

bad news:
remember taylor b.'s early christmas?
yeah, it is no longer.
if we can't sell enough tickets in UTAH to see bill o'reilly, then where?
sign of the times? yes.

also, has everyone been enjoying the weather?
good, because we're supposed to get snow on saturday.
good luck to our friends living in the frozen tundra, aka, logan.
we're expecting pictures.

also, these girls are just too classy.
we've spent many-a-hour watching their covers.
we feel like they should be shared.

when a mood goes from boom to boom.

the blog has shifted to the back burner.
but what do you expect?
we had some good pasta cookin' on the front one.

(beyond the usual entertainment of course)

animation vs. animator

also, we'd like to give a shout out to our friend norman d. jessee.

hopefully he will name his son, norman e. jessee.

anyway, he is an awesome kid, and we're so glad to call him our own.
(take that how you think it should be taken).
he is literally one of the most fantastic people we have ever met.

then it's probably too late.

the most delicious song.

we don't have a lot to report about halloween.
except for this:

if you're wondering what is going on,
don't.

on another note.
neither of us have class on friday next semester.
can you say awesome?
we can.
can you say three-day weekends every weekend?
we can.

also,
we played a little trick on everyone today.
we switched phones.
so if you thought you were texting one of us,
you were texting the other.
it was really fun.
and it added a whole new thrill to texting each other.

also,
we really like pancake mix. dry. how else?

ok, ok. we didn't switch phones for long.
don't worry.

also,
christmas for taylor b. is coming sooner than she thought.
november 14th to be exact.

also,
taylor swift on rock band?
yes.

also,
avery just walked in.
what a treat.

"do you like band of horses?" ---taylor b.
"i like band of skulls." --- brandon.

uhhhh?---taylor & taylor.

p.s. just click it.
you'll never be the same.

save the sugar cookies.

it's about 8:00pm.
we have a TON of homework still.
taylor b. has a test tomorrow and a research paper to write.
taylor o. has a articles, talks, and chapters to read, and a book to finish.
so what do we choose to do?

1. this.

2.
3.
4. sit at the dinner table for hours and harmonize to songs like, "Waking Up in vegas," "Who's Got Your Money," "Lucky," & "Dollhouse." all of our favorites.

"cabin fever." ---life is good.

we love that---taylor & taylor.

don't stop believin'.

well, where should we begin?

how about here:
wait.
we'd better back up...

friday:
some more beautiful scenery up in idaho,
and another awesome four wheeling adventure for taylor b:
there is a good story behind this picture,
but we won't go into it.
too embarrassing.

also, if you're ever in malad, ID check out me & lou's.
it's the classiest place in town.

saturday:
we went to a rainy homecoming game.
should of sold our tickets to bret.
that's all we have to say about that.

when the game ended, the fun truly began.
our SLC friends met up with our provo friends for the best night ever.

first:
52in LCD, 120hz, 50,000:1 contrast ratio, TV
+ interactive stage lights
+ interactive fog machine
+ insane surround sound in a small apartment
=
the most INCREDIBLE rock band experience of our young lives.

second:
the malt shoppe: an old-fashioned, provo style, dining extravaganza.
this started out like any other milkshake/bacon cheeseburger night.
however those nights are supposed to start.
we were all enjoying our delicious shakes of various flavors,
and jenny and taylor b. were enjoying their burgers when suddenly...

people started dancin' like crazy!
[ben found it especially hilarious.
look at that smile; what a guy.]

we really loved this, and we were sure the night just couldn't get any better.
but you know what they say,
"knock on wood!"

taylor o. couldn't resist puttin' her dancin' shoes on,
and asked jolly roger, blue-shirt to dance.

taylor o: hi, i was wondering if you teach me how to dance.
jolly roger: hey, everybody, this lil' lady wants to learn how to dance!
[diner crowd cheers]
so then, they danced the night away!!

[if you're using safari, you might have trouble viewing this. try a different browser.]

we were a litte disturbed, and slightly creeped out.
but it was worth it.
so that brings us to this:
he was sweaty, old, probably insane,
and sources tell us that he is there every saturday night.
you can bet we'll be back.
ah, the magic of the malt shoppe.
taylor's bravery inspired us all to have a little dance party of our own.
which is how we finished out the night.

we had a little trouble getting everyone to calm down for the camera,
and taylor b.'s camera was out of battery.
but it had just enough juice left for one more self-timed picture:
to sum it all up:
BEST NIGHT EVER!

"you can't forget to add in taylor dancing with that guy,
and that memorable dance move. wow. i guess we just all need to hang out more."

garden hose veins.

today has been nuts.
but...
don't ask, don't tell.
that's our new philosophy.

ok, it's not really.
but today it is.

we're just glad the weekend is coming right up.
also, we have to say something real quick:

happy birthday ben!!
he is nineteen today, october the 15th, 2009.

3. music.
ben is a VERY musical person. he is incredible.
along with that, he is very passionate about it.
our favorite thing is when we find a song we can share a love for.
we play it over and over again, and sing at the top of our lungs.
we often text lyrics back and forth.
taylor swift is in this category.

she comfortably seats one person and a violin.

we won't show you proof though. sorry.

ben is one of the most loving and devoted people we know.
he puts his family above everything else,
and his good friends closely follow.
subsequently, they [we] love him too!
