campus visiting hours.

today was a special kind of day.
the kind of day that called for a celebration.
(you know how we are with celebrations).
so we took matters into our own hands
and pulled off somethin' real slick.

here we are at our party:

taylor b. looks like a fool.
typical.

okaaaaay. well.
bye.

p.s. thanks for coming, lisa!

chn have perfect grammar?

it's late.
but isn't it always?
late, that is.

whenever taylor b. is helping a
customer on a saturday, she rings them
up and says,
"have a great weekend!"
doesn't that seem a little wrong to you, though?
i mean, it's sort of a lie.
the weekend is more than halfway over at that point.
she should say,
"hey, have a great latter-half of the weekend,"
but that doesn't roll off the
tongue quite as nicely, does it?
anyway. something to think about.

we watched "the social network" tonight.
just barely, actually.
less than an hour ago.
we know we're like fifty years behind,
but that doesn't really matter at all.
what an interesting story, though, yeah?
what a crazy, 25 billion dollar story.
something else to think about.

anyway, it's late.
i think we're going to hit the sack.
but not literally hit the sack.
or hit anything for that matter.
just go to bed.
get some shut-eye.
turn off our minds, bodies and spirits.
that sort of thing.
you understand.

goodnight, facebook.
(seemed appropriate because
of the movie we just watched).

---taylor & taylor.

p.s. we ate kettle corn tonight.
lots and lots of kettle corn.
and brownies.

also, we put up a shower curtain.
why are we telling you this?
no reason, really.
just something to think about.

the bent spoon.

hi.
it's us, taylor squared.
we're in college working part time,
have bills to pay,
we share drawers,
have nothing figured out,
and we aren't making our parents' mistakes.
all that jazz.

as promised, we had our
fun-filled southern weekend.
and boy was it fun-filled.

in st. george there was a rodeo,
a triathlon and dixie high school's homecoming.
we didn't go to any of it, though.
maybe that's because of our
anti-social roots,
or maybe it's not.
you never really can tell.

the point, and the moral of this
story, is that we jumped off a 35ft cliff.
impressed? well, you shouldn't be.
it is to be expected.
and guess who spent a whole weekend
without going on facebook?
not us.
that would have been rad, though.
too bad, so sad.
but not really.

t-baby, t-daddy.

this has got to be quick,
because we've got loadsies of hw to do.
but we just had to get that video
moved down on the page.
you understand.

we're embarking on our 3rd week
as sophomores here at BYU.
it's crazy, right?
not really.
it's just about normal.

there are a few things we'd
like to touch base on, however.

the first is: dinner.

dinner has always had a special
place on our blog, and in our stomachs.
we've taken special care this year,
so that it continues to be on the top
of our "to do" lists.
whatever that means.

the next is: coincidences.

there aren't any.
unless there are.
we're still figuring this one out.

3rd: running.

we can't do it.
nevermind all the money
we've wasted on races that we won't be running,
or on trying to find alternate forms of exercise,
or on just plain old
"trying-to-find-out-what's-wrong-with-us."
nevermind all doz funds.
it just plain stinks.
so all you runners out there,
run from the heart. from the soul.
do it for us.
soul runnas.

4th-ly: facebook

"facebook stalking is really just so fun."
"but it's way more fun when you have homework
to do. if you're doing it doing free time,
it's just...boring."

"facebook is like a refrigerator.
you get bored and keep checking,
but nothing ever changes."

"online. now."

number five: dessert.

much like dinner,
dessert is what one might call one of our,
"enduring qualities."
we're fine with that.
more than fine, actually.
not to mention the cookie cookbook
signing that taylor b. attended on saturday night.

maybe you were wondering,
maybe you weren't,
but this little celebration did include sample
cookies from this book,
just as all celebrations should.
we own this book now.
signed and everything.
that's over 3 months of daily celebrations.
win.

last, and definitely least:

we like asian food, a lot,
hugh jackman is a problem and,
time for fall.
that is all.

---taylor & taylor.

i've been to london, paris, tokyo, georgia and new orelans.

july has clearly been a rough blogging month.
some months are like that, you know?
rough blogging months.
you hear us.

as far as we can tell,
summer is just ticking away.
we're sure you can tell also.
it's been pretty HOT too.
we got to cool off a little bit, though.
in st. george.
fun stuff.
pictures TBP.

for now, we'd like to inform you of something fun.
plans on thursday night?
any thursday night?
every thursday night for the rest of the summer?
cool.
well, come to some free dive-in concerts,
with some cool local artists.
it's fun, it's chill, it's free.
here is the facebook page,
which is really the only kind of page worth mentioning.

see ya.

we'll hike graham canyon.

well, tay o. has one final left tomorrow.
vee and tay b. are alllll done.
with school, that is.

there are a couple things we need to blog about.

1. blogging. we like it.

2. we accidentally forgot to go to sleep monday night.
it really was an accident.

3. today we literally planned our whole day around
when we were going to get our favorite ice cream.
when we say literally, we mean it in the literal sense of the word.
our hunger levels are past the point of funny,
and ever since saturday, our stomachs are permanently stretched.
it's all relative if you think about it.
and we think it's a relatively good thing.
free willy.

it's late.
taylor b. has almost been up for 24 hours.
not to mention the little 3hrs-of-sleep-stunt we pulled monday night.

goodnight facebook.

finding the controller.

there is a lot to blog about today.
so, we'll start from the beginning.
here is a list of things we love:
  • waking up to a drawer of toiletries floating in a thick, oily, sticky hair serum. try cleaning that one up with water. rofc.
  • not eating breakfast.
  • ahh. the smell of car exhaust in the morning.
  • wonder bread: it's fresh...fresh...fresh...
  • dropping your phone, and yogurt, and clif bar at separate times, in the middle of the same intersection as the light is turning yellow.
  • the beautiful, bright, vibrant, red, yellow and orange leaves covered in a grey, deadening frost. we like the english version of grey better.
  • rolling on the floor crying. lol.
taylor, cleaning up the sticky, oily hair serum.
good thing there were two of her;
she got the job done a lot faster that way.

in other news:
- wanna hear a funny joke? life. haha. lol.

in better news:
- veronica made pasta salad.
- we discovered taylor b. is a lot like a tree: big, tall, provides shade and is covered in bark.
- we got invited to see toy story. one & two. in 3D. but we're not going.
- we came up with some fun games today. by games we mean fights:

which do you think is more important: being the first to create a facebook account, whether it was used or not, or being the longest active user of a facebook account?

who do you think wins: the one who shot the invisible bullets, or the one who blocked the bullets with an invisible force-field?

which room do you think would be better to blog in: taylor b.'s or taylor o.'s?

- we don't fight a lot, but when we do, it is about important matters.

and for the best news yet:
- the day isn't over. hurray!

some people say that we're bipolar. to them we say: so what if we are? what's it to ya?

"the problem with uploading your pictures onto facebook, is that facebook owns them. so if you want deactivate your account, you should delete your pictures first so facebook doesn't own your soul. but then again, i don't really mind if facebook owns my soul. in fact, i prefer it that way." ---taylor o.

coincidence? i think not.

saturday.

-- nights in rondathe is officially the saddest, most depressing movie ever. they fall in love in four days, and then he dies? seriously. could someone explain that. we're never watching that one again. no, that's a total lie, we'll watch it this weekend or something. (sorry for the dishonesty a second ago. you just have to break the honor code sometimes.)

sunday.

-- church was @ 9:25; no, we don't know why it starts then, sorry.
also, we like that half the ward arrives after the sacrament has been passed.
-- taylor o. had to drive back UP (it's up, not down) to salt lake, because her parents were speaking.
-- taylor b. had the awesome opportunity of standing alone to introduce herself and missing roommates. also, everyone in relief society shared what they were majoring in. about 99% of the women were majoring in either elementary education, early child development or exercise science.
-- taylor b. had ally & lisa over for sunday dinner.

green beans, swiss chicken, strawberry spinach salad, mashed potatoes, milk.

-- lisa and taylor b. got engaged, and ally got a divorce, all during one CES devotional @ the marriot center.
-- taylor o. and veronica arrived home safely; they're back DOWN here in provo.
-- the packers defeated the bears in an epic sunday night football showdown. go cheeseheads.

monday.

-- it rained today. we loved it. so much.
-- the BYU campus is gorgeous.
-- we had "tasteful crackers" to keep us awake in environmental science today. we come up with new ideas for every class.
-- also, richard terry, our professor, posed a very thought provoking question: "what would happen if your whole diet was water & carbon-dioxide? you would die." humans just aren't what they used to be.
-- we walked home and knocked out some homework.
-- taylor b. took a 3 hour nap.
-- taylor o. survived a tropical storm in our room.
-- FHE tonight was a treat. our family is hilarious.

also, we miss interacting with people our own age. but the good news is we're becoming more comfortable with ourselves, and our age. in fact, we plan to use our age to our advantage in the near future. when you're looking for an eternal companion, "18" isn't too attractive in these parts.

also, taylor b. has decided to major in political science.

also, nope. that's all.

we finished out the night with a thoughtful discussion about grammar and boys. over facebook.

this is us. 18 (not 17), and proud of it.
