classes are classless.

another week is halfway over.
it's a wednesday night here in the dollhouse,
and what are we going to do?
probably not spend it in the dollhouse,
oddly enough.

that had nothing to do with anything, really.

anyway... biggest loser and parenthood
were great last night.
clearly, taylor o. isn't able to enjoy our 3hr t.v. night
because of noteworthy.
but it's the highlight taylor b.'s and veronica's week.
if anyone was able to catch BL,
do you not agree that the large, mustached twins
are rather frightening?
and how did they both +9 themselves?
freaky.
one down, one to go.

tonight, taylor is playing one song
(emphasis on the "one,"
because we like to emphasize.)
clearly, veronica and taylor b. will be
attending, and following it up with
a dessert of some sort.
dessert TBD.

in other news,
sundance is currently one, large ice rink.
it may be icier than an ice rink,
so we're hoping that those wasatch hills
received some serious snowfall today.

that's about it.
good timez.

she's a little fragile.

it's fouurrrrr o'claaaahhck and all is wellllll.
except for not.
nothing is well.
today may in fact have been the most unwell day ever.
which provides the criterium for the perfect blog post.

today at the end of our shared class,
taylor o.'s backpack broke.
you heard us. broke.
the zipper was cleaned right of the zip.
or whatever.
the point is, it won't zip up.
nbd, though. we thought.

taylor o. had an important interview
to attend, and so taylor b. agreed to stay behind
and backpack-sit until she returned.
well, by the time she made it back,
the sky had turned black.
you heard us. black.

we met up with veronica just in time
for mother nature to drown us in her tears.
what a baby.
but seriously. we were soaked. in seconds.
not to mention, taylor o. had to carry her
backpack like a sumo wrestler through the
wind and the rain and the cats and the dogs.
good thing we had two umbrellas. yikes.

the storm got progressively worse as we
walked at a less-than-waddling pace back to the dollhouse.
our journey spanning the last block
was what one might consider a "joke."
shoes flying, umbrellas turning, backpacks dropping,
cars crashing, houses exploding, people dying...
it was scary.

as soon as we made it into #301
our bedroom door slammed shut.
we rushed to the room as we realized
that we had forgotten to shut the window,
and with the strength of 100 grown men,
pushed open the door, which had succumbed
to the pressure of the angry wind.

would you believe it if we told
you that our room had 3ft of water in it?
no? good. because that's just ridiculous.
the door to the attic was open however,
and we'll probs be sleeping in wet sheets tonight.
go figure.
go fish.

pictures would have been ideal for this post.
oh well.

"ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh."

we love that---taylor & taylor.

a musical redition of the book of matthew.

it's time.

here are some of the latest joys in our lives,
as cleverly portrayed by our very own photographs.

firstly,

we defaced bella.
apologies to all you "team bella" fans out there.
we just couldn't take it anymore,
and seeing as we felt something had to be done,
we done it.

secondly,

we have some new tenets here at the dollhouse.
baby bear (top), and mr. goose (bottom).
yes, we know the names are creative,
but we can't take credit for coming up with them, sorry.
anywho, we rented our new friends from the local museum,
FOR FREE!!
they make a nice addition to our home-sweet-home.

thirdly,

taylor b. and her brother switched shoes for the day.
ask them how well that turned out?
it didn't,
but it was worth a cent or two.

and lastly,

we brought our very own favorite treat home with us.
through some pretty sneaky tactics,
we were able to acquire the recipe,
and then follow it.
let's just say that pan didn't make it through the night.
taylor o. is a mean chef these days.
(but not literally "mean," just really good at cooking).

so, pretty stinkin' neat, huh?
anyway, the last couple days have been long, to say the least.
let us break it down for you:
between the three of us we've had:
10 tests,
6 essays,
and countless hours of studying.
and when we say countless,
we mean it in every sense of the word.
it's all good though.
once we get through today, we'll be flyin' high.
literally.
taylor b. will be enjoying her favorite game (baseball) in her favorite place (st. george),
veronica will be soakin' up some rays in sunny california,
and taylor o. will be sweet-home-on-the-range in here provo.
but hey, there is nothing wrong with that.

not to mention the countdown 'til finals has begun.

and happy march madness.

"what are we going to do about that?" ---taylor b.
"ha. ask her." ---taylor o.
"do you want to stay here tonight, or go home?" ---taylor b.
"i don't think i'm going to make it home." ---karissa urry.
"ha. k." ---taylor b.
"tay? i probably shouldn't tell you this,
but i sleep on peoples' couches all the time," ---k.u.

we love that---taylor & taylor.

another one bites the dust.

yesterday was
inconvenience yourself day.
we had a lot of great things planned for this day,
but basically all of them fell through.
that's okay though,
because fate decided that we needed to celebrate anyway.

our internet here at #301 was out for the entire day.
if you ask us, that's pretty inconvenient.
but instead of getting all mad,
we were thrilled.
what better way to celebrate?

as it turns out,
inconvenience yourself day is now one of our favorite holidays.
go figure.
plus, now that it's over,
we're one day closer to another letter,
and another episode of LOST.
plus, our shower drain is fully functioning now!
win-win all around.

"so, i have a question/good news for you.
first of all, the good news. i am going to move out in the fall! yaaaay.
do you like the place where you live?"
---leslie.

um, gurrrl. get over here.

we love that---taylor & taylor.

your leg is a wall.

hello all.
yesterday was a fun day.
taylor b. spent 4 hours in the econ lab,
finishing the assignment she worked on for 5 hours last thursday.
total hours spent on this week's assignment: 10 hours.
yee. hah.

tonight taylor o. came home with maybe the worst
stomach ache anyone has ever had ever.
but that's debatable because there have probably
been some pretty bad stomach aches throughout history.
like maybe during the holocaust for example.
and in case you're wondering,
we're still working on answering the question:
what is a jew?
we'll get back to you after we write our 24 page papers on the subject.

dinner was fresh tonight.
not the literal meaning of fresh though,
because we had leftovers.
we're just trying to adopt a more modern lingo.

anywho, taylor b.'s 3hr class only lasted an 1.5hrs tonight.
(all of taylor o.'s classes lasted the normal amount of time.
her life is average.)
ching.
afterward, we had the pals over for some american idol.
ching.
then we topped off with some SVU.
cha-ching.

finally, taylor o. didn't run today.
this is a VERY big deal.
taylor b. and veronica send her their congratulations.
yay, yay, yay, yay, yay, yay.

goodnight facebook.

"i like your 'over and over' song." ---veronica.
"me too." ---taylor b.
"wait tay, you've heard it?" ---taylor o.
"well you've been singing over and over,
over and over again. so, yes." ---taylor b.

we love that---taylor & taylor.

man of science, man of faith.

honey, i'm home!

we'rrrrrrre baaaaaaaack. at the dollhouse of course.
we really do love it here,
but maaan, talk about culture shock. again.

so, we've instituted some new rules.

#1 we have a new calendar, and we're not allowed
to look ahead at the pictures until the changing month.

#2 ben and/or michael have to visit no less than 2 nights a week.

#3 if either of us are sitting next to someone while
writing a blog post, there has to be a pillow in between
the two individuals until the post is finished.

#4 there is absolutely no touching the pudding until it
is adequately thickened. no exceptions.

#5 by the end of this semester 2/3 of #301's residents
must be able to correctly answer the question: what is a jew?

questions, comments, concerns? take it up with management.
a.k.a: us.

"my secret with car hugs is, people (girls or ben)
come to me. i slide-twist a one armed hug."
---michael milkanin.

"my secret to car hugs is that i have a truck
and it's just one, big bench seat."
---ben coburn.

"that would lead to more than just car hugs." ---taylor o.

"that's why it's his secret." ---taylor b.

we love that---taylor & taylor.

perfection in a bite.

we have quite the story for you.

three nights ago, veronica lost her retainer.
she took it out, put it in the case, and then dropped the case on the ground by accident.
so, naturally she reached down to pick it up, but when she did, there was no retainer inside the case.

she looked high, and low.
she searched under her bed, dresser, desk, papers, and laundry,
but it was no where to be found.

two nights ago, taylor b. also lost her retainer.
she put it in her mouth just before she went to bed,
and when she woke up, it was gone.
she also searched under her bed, papers, dresser, bags---everything.

two retainers, gone. no trace. no signs. no clues.

last night taylor b. was reading (eclipse, of course),
and at about 11:30 pm there was a loud pounding on the wall.
she looked up, confused, and then went back to reading.
30 seconds later, the pounding returned.
it was clearly coming from the wall separating her room from veronica's room.
she then heard some rustling coming from the same location,
and almost got up to go search for the source of the rambunctious noise,
but naturally, she continued to read. duh.

as the hours ticked on, both taylor b. and veronica were retainer-less.
in a last crusade to maintain their straightened teeth,
apartment 301 conducted a final search. of ages.

luckily, taylor b. had a headlamp and shakeable flashlight.
so, taylor o. & veronica began the search in veronica's room,
while taylor b. searched in her own room.
just then, taylor b. spotted the little red plastic piece very
located centrally under her bed.
"i found mine!!" ---taylor b.
"you did?!" ---veronica.
"there it is!"---taylor o.

just as taylor b. pull hers from the dust,
taylor o. spotted veronica's, located near the very back wall, underneath her bed.
luckily, taylor b. has arms any monkey would be envious of,
and the recovery of the retainer from the dusty darkness was not an issue.
coincidence? obviously not.

what can you take from this story?
clearly, that retainer bandits need to be added to the list
of stereotypes associated with provo.
now if that doesn't give you nightmares,
we don't know what will.

on a lighter and brighter note,
veronica and taylor b. have retainers to wear
at night, so their teeth won't go crooked.
but you already knew that. rofc.

"that title is perfect. in more ways than one." ---taylor b.

we love that---taylor & taylor.

dexter's gassy adventure.

some highlights from yesterday.
(no, not the skyline choir, silly).

as much as we have tried to avoid the
stereotypical freshman experience,
we now realize that there are some things we just can't avoid.

yesterday taylor b. came across "breakin' free"
from the world renown movie, high school musical.
obviously, after hearing that song,
the only course of action was to make an interpretive dance
and then film it using photo booth on taylor b.'s mac.

after several takes, we gave up.
but not really.
we just decided that high school musical was a bit too juvenile.
after all, it is a musical about high school.
so we just moved on to a more mature song choice.
it was our very own song.
really though. it was our song.

we have found that we have a deeper
connection with all of taylor's songs,
because, well, our names are taylor.
ha ha, get it?
we do. and it gets better every time.

"so," we said, "our song it is."
and it continued to be.
over and over and over again. about fifty times.
but not really. ha ha, gotcha.
this was pretty fun, for a couple hours,
until our fun was abruptly interrupted
by a knock on the door.

naturally, we thought it was brandon,
but to our surprise, it was our engaged
neighbor from the apartment below
whom we have never spoken with.
but we do know she is engaged.

she simply asked us to either turn the music down,
our at least change the song,
as she and her roommates were trying to study.
blah, blah, blah.
but seriously? she wanted us to
stop playing our song?
(ha ha ha, get it?)

so to make a pretty short story even shorter,
we turned it right off.
but not really, because that old familiar tune
is still playin' in our heads.

"he's got a one-hand feel
on the steering wheel,
the other on my heart."

we wish we could give you some
video evidence, but the thing is,
we never really got a good take.
but we did have a little photo booth fun.
just another one of those freshman thrills
that you can't avoid.

this was just as fun as it looks.
but probably not quite as fun.

blahh, taylor o. is getting blown awayyyyy.

in other news. we've got some pla-a-aanss tonight,
and only one day of class next week.
yee hah.

"i see you've branched away from the usual pants. i haven't." ---taylor o.

as usual, we love that---taylor & taylor.

post script: christian jacob frandsen
has given us some sound advice
over the past few days.
we can't wait to share another
cannon center adventure with him.

also, when we refer to the cannon center
as an "adventure," that's exactly what we mean.
why else would we call it that?
